Building and decorating a dutch inspired playhouse.
I wanted to create a playhouse for the kids, one that we could decorate ourselves, and also one with a Dutch gable roof. So we went to our nearest B&Q (The UK equivalent to a Praxis or Gamma) and picked up some planks of MDF wood, and got to work! I left the sawing and hammering to Jonathan, then I got to do the fun part. I coated the playhouse in blackboard paint, and when it was dry I was able to decorate it using chalk pens. You can remove drawings with a wet cloth, so the kids can draw and doodle on it themselves, as many times as they like.
The liquid chalk markers draw like paint, so the colours come out vibrant. They’re the best pens we’ve got – they work great for salt dough decorations and other arts and crafts too!
